As was mentioned in the last update, there will be quite a few changes to plans as we work through this unprecedented time.
A decision was made over the weekend to allow for some staff to work from home as we are in the midst of a state and national emergency. This decision was made even though we have no reason to believe the workspace at Lane ESD is anything other than safe, as safe as we can say anyplace is now. We can ensure the 6 foot minimum spacing requirement and we are following proper cleaning protocols. This in effect for the current week only.
Just a few minutes ago, the Governor signed a new executive order effective tomorrow (3/17) banning gatherings of 25 or more and limiting restaurants and bars to take out and delivery only. This will be in effect for four weeks. At this time, the re-start days for schools is still April 1, but the Governor said they are still deliberating on this and will know more in a couple of days.
So again, things are changing rapidly…
For everyone, here is a reminder of proper procedures:
- Remain home if ill.
- Wash hands often.
- Maintain at least 6 ft. distance (this does not include walking by each other in the hall)
- Cough or sneeze into elbow
Thanks again for your patience and perseverance during this confusing time.
